You know when you get those days you wished you had stayed in bed and never got up at all, because deep down you knew it was going to be one of those days. It just so happened that it was one of those days and Blueray wished she had of stayed in bed, maybe if she had stayed snuggled under those covers she wouldn’t have felt so bad later on.
Today in Lost Lake it just so happened there was a big event on, there had been a big event last night some sort of farewell party. Blueray currently was nursing a caffeine crash from the previous night, and the scaly female was really not looking forward to today. Her adopted brother was going to be leaving in his ship leaving them all, he said it was for the best or trouble would follow him to their home. Blueray had loudly protested against this course of action, pointing out that she could fight off any trouble that dared to set paw in Lost Lake. Every one else how ever said that one seven foot dragoness against a whole horde of mavericks, was not going to save everyone because they severely lacked warriors of all types.
Fair enough the blue scaled, yellow striped one was out numbered, she had stormed out of the tavern with the light blue leather membranes of her wings quivering in barely contained anger. As the day of departure slowly arrived she sunk deeper in to herself, refusing to acknowledge that her brother was leaving at all. The party was a massive affair and Blueray threw herself in to the merry making with far too much enthusiasm, she got herself so hyperactive on caffeine drinks that Blueray ended up dancing and singing on the table top.
Zero Finalstrike is leaving he hugged his friends and his adoptive family; his only blood relative that was there was Sawa. Most of their family wasn’t blood related at all; Butters adopted them when she considered them to be sister or brother to her. Blueray thought it was a great idea she never had such a large family, her real parents she lost when she was five and that left her to be raised by her albino brother. Hiding away from the crowd she watched with sapphire eyes, they filled with tears as Zero stepped on to his space ship. The dark blue crest on her head lowered as she broke in to sobs, once the ship had blasted off Blueray turned her back on it.
Home was no longer going to be home with Zero gone it didn’t feel the same; of course he left so that the mavericks would leave Lost Lake alone. Yet that didn’t make her feel any better, plus she felt guilty for hiding without saying goodbye. With a heavy heart Blueray picked up her vortex sword placed it in the sheath hung on her back, one last look back before spreading out her wings to take flight. Sapphire dragoness herself left Lost Lake, but she would return every now and then.
You know what they say, “Home is where the heart is”.
